Field Report: Raptorian

Written by Leo G, Illustrated by Taylor Titmouse

Ovumtide is the most elusive and exclusive orgy in all the galaxy--until Dr. Del Doppler is assigned to record it. But what might have been a routine documentary takes an unexpected turn when she's invited to partake. Now, she'll have to spread her wings--and her legs--to get the scoop on the Raptorian fertility festival. After all, when in Rome…

This is the second of Del’s risqué space adventures as a scientist working for the Nebulaship Of Xenosapients. N.O.X. is an interstellar federation and the arbiters of peace, love, and science across the galaxy. These stories are intended for adult audiences, and contain explicit depictions of sex, and do not need to be read in any order.

In general I loved this book, but what thing that really stuck with me was this one bit of world building where an automatic translator had issues with a colloquial term and just that stuck with me as such a clever thing to write, but also I felt like it paralleled Dr Del’s exploration into other species so well and like, emphasize the importance of actually interacting with your subject of study over just learning about it from books and reports.

listen this book is hot and you should read it! I’m just focusing in on one little point and don’t think because of my comment it’s not a fuckfest because it literally is and I’m here for it.

Yes...Yes! It's such an important theme for the story, I'm glad it hit! Also thank you so much for the lovely comment~
